EXPANDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Every Rhode Islander deserves a safe, suitable place to call home.

 

Last winter, Governor McKee urged the General Assembly to pass his RI Rebounds plan that invested immediate funds into affordable housing and housing stability support for Rhode Islanders.

A larger, long-term investment is crucial to expanding housing accessibility and affordability –  Governor McKee unveiled an historic $250 million housing budget that not only created new affordable housing, but also preserved and redeveloped existing properties, supported Rhode Islanders experiencing homelessness, and helped buyers with a down payment to purchase their own home.

Governor McKee is bringing all stakeholders to the table to address the housing crisis. That is how he gets things done for Rhode Islanders.
